Reliable Pools, Inc. was founded in late 2020 by husband-and-wife team Brian and Kristin Peterson. With an idea, a small crew, and a shared goal of building a successful full-service pool company, they took the leap and started Reliable Pools.
Brian brought 30 years of experience in concrete and construction, which naturally led to his interest in pool building. Kristin’s background in account management, sales, and marketing helped establish the customer-focused side of the business. Today, she manages the day-to-day office operations, including customer service and scheduling, while helping ensure each customer’s needs are met. The company has grown to include a dedicated service team, leak detections, commercial pools, and pool inspections. . Since opening, Reliable Pools has completed more than 75 pool installations, earned the trust of many loyal customers, and helped countless pool owners with equipment problems, water chemistry, and routine maintenance.

Brian and Kristin are also active members of their community. Brian coaches football and basketball at Tri-Valley and serves on the board of the Tri-Valley Education Foundation. Kristin is vice president of the Tri-Valley PTO and a member of the McLean County Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Coalition and the local Chamber of Commerce.
Reliable Pools is certified through the Illinois Department of Public Health for commercial pool
services, maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and is a proud member of the
Pool & Hot Tub Alliance.
Brian and Kristin created Reliable Pools to be a company customers could turn to for every stage
of pool ownership. In addition to fiberglass pool installation, the company now has a dedicated
service team and offers leak detection, commercial pool services, pool inspections, seasonal
openings and closings, in-house water testing, pool chemicals, chemical delivery, and water
delivery.
For new pool owners, Reliable Pools also offers on-site Pool School 101, providing practical
guidance on everyday pool care and maintenance. The goal has always been to build lasting
customer relationships while helping families spend more time together in their own backyards.
